Renovation and Expansion of Laval City Hall Awarded to Magil Construction
Magil Construction is proud to announce it has been awarded the contract for the renovation and expansion of Laval City Hall, an iconic project at the heart of the city’s civic life.
Awarded by the City of Laval following a competitive procurement process based on a best value approach, this major contract is valued at $44.6 million (before taxes). It reflects the municipality’s continued confidence in Magil’s expertise in delivering complex institutional projects.
The project aims to modernize this landmark heritage building while preserving its architectural identity and symbolic importance to the community. The work includes a complete renovation of the existing facilities, as well as an expansion designed to provide more functional, accessible, and adaptable spaces that meet the current and future needs of citizens.
Upon completion, the new City Hall will feature modern facilities that incorporate high standards of sustainability, energy efficiency, and universal accessibility, while showcasing the building’s historical character.
Magil’s teams are already mobilized to deliver a project that meets the City of Laval’s ambitions, helping to create a modern, welcoming civic space that reflects a dynamic and evolving community.
