Innovation
Magil Construction is proud to be at the forefront of innovation in the construction industry.
We implement cutting-edge technology in all operations to provide optimal service to all parties. Our BIM-VDC Department masters Virtual Design Construction (VDC) practices, including the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for improved construction project management, as well as several other innovative tools.
Pre-Construction and 3D Coordination
Enhancing advanced collaboration.
Magil can leverage innovative tools and platforms to reinforce coordination between all project stakeholders. Through the use of a federated 3D model, optimised pre-construction services, value engineering and 3D coordination, we can deliver innovation-driven projects.
4D ANALYSIS AND CONSTRUCTION SIMULATION
When simulation meets expert innovation.
Magil is able to connect 3D models with project schedules and generate a 4D simulation of the construction process and the evolution of the site. The project team uses this simulation to optimize sequences and keep track of projects.
5D ESTIMATION AND QUANTITY TAKE-OFFS
Sticking to the budget.
Magil accelerates the estimation process and reduces errors by performing quantity take-offs from 3D models. Additionally, our expertise allows to connect project budgets with the 4D model, creating a more precise cash flow simulation.
7D BIM, Asset Information Model (A.I.M)
Asset management at its finest.
Magil can deliver a 7D Asset Information Model at the required level of Detail (LOD), Accuracy (LOA) and Information (LOI). A well-defined and developed Asset Information Model (AIM) allows for improved and optimized management operation of the client’s asset which leads to a consistent Return on Investment (ROI) and a better experience for the users.
TECHNOLOGY IN THE FIELD
Using technology for optimal management.
Magil works with leading technologies on site to optimize operations and ensure a comprehensive approach. Construction management is greatly improved, leading to better quality of the final product while respecting the original budget and schedule.
R&D — Fayolle Magil Chair
Magil’s evolution is ongoing, as is our consideration for our environmental impact, on all our projects, at every stage.
Created after a significant financial contribution made by the Fayolle Canada Group, the Fayolle-Magil Construction Research Chair in Architecture explores architectural design and the use of innovative technologies to create a resilient and sustainably built environment.
The independent chair’s projects examine the processes, performance and ethics of architecture projects, highlighting the best approaches in Canada and abroad.
